How Do I List My Dress On GetThatDress.com?

Listing your dress is easy. Simply click the Sell Your Dress link in the navigation bar above, follow the instructions and pay your listing fee, then leave the rest to us.

Unlike other sites, there’s no need to register – just submit your dress details and we will design your listing for you, saving you time and hassle.


How much will it cost to sell my dress?

The cost of advertising your dress on GetThatDress.com is directly dependent on the asking price you assign to your dress. We charge a flat rate of 1% of your original asking price.

For example, if your asking price for your dress is $500, then you pay 1% of that, which is $5. This fee is paid prior to listing on GetThat Dress and is non-refundable regardless of the final selling price of your dress.


What exactly do I get for my money?

For a one off fee your dress will be listed on GetThatDress.com for as long as it takes to sell

Unlike many other sites, we only charge a one off fee that provides you with a listing on the site for as long as it takes for your dress to sell.

A clickable thumbnail link on the homepage

Here at GetThatDress we offer you more for your money. When you decide to list your dress with us, a clickable thumbnail image of your dress will be placed on the homepage that links to a page dedicated to your dress.

Unlike many other sites that will hide your dress listing deep within their website, GetThatDress ensures that your newly listed dress is in prime position on the homepage to be viewed by thousands of visitors each and every day.

A total of 28 of the most recent dresses will be displayed as clickable thumbnails on the homepage. The most recent dress listed with us will be the first thumbnail. As more dresses are listed, your dress thumbnail will move along the homepage and then eventually onto page 2,3,4 and so on as more dresses are listed.

An individual page dedicated to your dress

When you list your dress with us, we create a page all about your dress. It will display your dress photos, a description of the dress, measurements, asking price and contact details (your contact email address will be visible), so that anyone who is interested in purchasing your dress can get in touch with you.

Social Media Promotion

Every dress listed on the site will be automatically posted to the Get That Dress Facebook page. This helps to increase exposure of your dress to potential buyers as all our Facebook fans will see your dress.

Yes. If you need any details of your advert changing just contact us letting us know what you want changing and we’ll change it for you.


How can my dress be found?

Not only will your dress receive a prime spot on the homepage, but it can also easily be found by people using one of the many search tools on the site.

The navigation bar, as you can see above, details the 4 main criteria people use to search for a dress – dresses by age, color, designer or price. When a user hovers over one of these tabs, a drop down menu appears listing the specifics of that criteria.

For example, if a user is looking for a dress to suit their 11 year old daughter, then he/she can hover over “Dresses By Age”. A drop down menu will then appear with links to various ages. They can then click “10-11 Years”, which provides a comprehensive gallery of only those dresses suitable for 10-12 year olds. They could also chose a specific dress color, designer or price range to search from.

Your dress will also be posted on the Get That Dress Facebook page.

A search bar on every page

Our well designed search feature, which is displayed in the top right corner of each page, makes searching for a specific dress easy. If a user doesn’t want to use the navigation bar system, then they can use the search bar. A person can type in a keyword of their choosing and they will be provided with a gallery of dresses that have something in common with that keyword.

I’m Interested In A Dress On The Site. Now What?

Once you’ve found a dress that you like you should contact the owner using the email link provided on the page displaying that dress. If you have any questions you should ask them via this email. Once you are satisfied and ready to make a purchase, you should contact the owner and arrange payment.


How Should Payment be Arranged?

How a buyer pays for an item depends on a mutual agreement between the buyer and the seller. When deciding which payment method to use make sure it is secure, convenient and traceable in case of problems.

- Pay On Collection: If you find that the seller of the dress you want to buy is near to you or will be attending a feis that you are as well, it may be possible to pay on collection.

- We Don’t Recommend: We DO NOT recommend using instant cash transfer services such as Western Union or MoneyGram to pay for a dress. These services are not intended to send money to someone you don’t know as there is a high risk of fraud. Furthermore, we would strongly advise sellers to organise any courier shipping themselves and only send items to confirmed and verified PayPal addresses using a trackable delivery service.

Any arrangements financial or otherwise entered into between buyers and sellers will be at their discretion and their responsibility. Get That Dress will not be liable to any losses incurred as a result of buyer/seller agreements.


I want to sell an item that isn’t a dress. How can I do this?

If you’ve got an Irish Dancing related item you would like to sell other than a dress, go to the Misc For Sale page and follow the instructions.


Can I Get A Discount?

If you would like to advertise multiple dresses, you can contact us before you submit your dress details and we will advise you on our current bulk listing discounts.


Can I Bump My Listing Back To The Homepage?

If you would like to bump your dress listing back to the homepage to maintain maximum exposure to potential buyers, you can for a fee of just 0.5% of the asking price of your dress. Please contact us, confirming your PayPal email address and we’ll send you a PayPal money request for the fee due. Once we’ve received your payment your dress will be moved to the first position on our homepage.
